ITEMEDICAL: “CAN YOU TELL US MORE ABOUT YOUR CAREER SO FAR?”

CÉLINE: “After my graduation as a pediatric nurse, I started in 2008 my career in the pediatric ward of CHR Citadelle Liège (Belgium). From there on I quickly made a switch to the emergency care. Five years later, I moved to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) of this hospital. Although taking care of newborns was always very enriching to me, I was looking for a new challenge. Two years ago I was chosen to become a  referent for the implementation of MetaVision as a Patient Data Management System (PDMS). Becasause of my background as a pediatric nurse I am familiar with the working processes at the NICU. So my main focus was to customize MetaVision to their daily process.”

HOW DID ITEMEDICAL COME TO YOU?
“Before becoming a MetaVision specialist, I had never heard of itemedical. Working and gaining experience with the PDMS MetaVision was a real revelation to me: managing IT solutions for the medical sector is really my cup of tea. Even more than this, I appreciate in particular the way how itemedical and its team do this. So when Mathias Van Driessche told me about a job offer for a clinical application specialist, I saw this as an opportunity which I couldn’t miss.”

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING AS A CLINICAL APPLICATION SPECIALIST?
“As a Clinical Application Specialist, I’ll be there for you, on site or online, to help you with the medical software solutions of itemedical. With my field experience I have a good idea of what users need and I would like to share this experience with our clients.”

WHAT CAN OUR CLIENTS EXPECT FROM YOU?
“Clients can expect seriousness and commitment from me. My aim is to understand the needs of our clients in order to respond to them in the most relevant way.”

WHAT CHALLENGE ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO?
“All of them! But in particular: making our clients happy!”

BESIDES YOUR WORK, CÉLINE, CAN YOU TELL US SOMETHING MORE ABOUT YOURSELF?
“I live in Visé (a city near to Liège) with my 12 years-old nephew. I participate a lot in his basketball activities and work as a volunteer as well for his club. I used to be a handball player. However,  a knee injury no longer allows me to be one. So I’m still looking for a new sport. In my spare time, I like spending time with my friends, reading a good book and travelling.”
